As we near the end of the year and take stock, we may notice across the media how many of our collegaues are leaving workplaces or the workforce entirely. The ‘compassion’ aspect of healthcare maybe turning to recognise that compassion is needed for the workforce also, and not just focusing on workers ‘resilience’ as the go to for understanding retention, satisfaction and the health of the nursing workforce.
